Neurodermatitis

Eczema is a chronic, non-contagious skin condition. Typical signs include a skin rash and intense itching. Eczema often occurs in children. It frequently improves over the years and can temporarily or even completely disappear. Effective skincare, along with natural and organic ingredients, can help manage itching and skin rashes effectively.

In eczema, the skin's structure is altered. The stratum corneum lacks, among other things, moisture-retaining factors and lipids. The cell structure is permeable, resulting in very dry and sensitive skin. With OXY8 ingredients, we provide your skin with all the necessary compounds, moisture, and rebuild the skin barrier function.

Neurodermatitis - Causes and Triggers

Eczema is one of the most common chronic inflammatory skin conditions. In Germany, about 13 percent of children and around 3 percent of adults experience varying degrees of itchy and sometimes oozing eczema at least temporarily.

The incidence of eczema symptoms has significantly increased over the last decades, especially in industrialized countries. On one hand, the condition is better recognized, leading parents to be more attentive to skin changes. On the other hand, as suggested by scientists, our lifestyle, excessive hygiene, and altered environmental conditions such as air pollution likely contribute to this increase.

Inherited predisposition to eczema and susceptibility to dry and sensitive skin.

The predisposition to dry, sensitive skin and an increased susceptibility to eczema can be inherited. This is related to a disrupted skin barrier function. As the outermost layer of our body and the interface with the environment, the skin's role is to protect our body from the entry of harmful foreign substances, such as disease-causing germs, harmful environmental substances, and allergens.

Additionally, the skin prevents excessive moisture loss and thus dehydration of the body. In essence, it forms a barrier.

In eczema, the structure of the outermost layer of the skin is altered in a way that impairs its optimal barrier function. Consequently, it becomes dry and highly sensitive. With OXY8 ingredients, we provide your skin with all the necessary compounds, moisture, and rebuild the skin barrier function.
